Engaging the Public, Tradesmen and Artisans

We will engage the Public and the Craftsmen with these four rally calls:

  1. Awareness: Awaken the minds and hearts of craftsmen and the general public about the advantages of technology and the opportunity that technology affords us in improving and providing better and more efficient services. In addition we would show how to use technology to their benefit even if they are not digital natives or may not be able to speak English.
  2. Advocacy: Equip and mobilize appropriate organizations and individuals to be a voice for improved access to technology for the craftsmen and the public and to those who do not have a voice for the opportunities that technology provides in our Cities and Nation. We would also be advocating for standards in the service industry with a view to making our craftsmen sought after even outside the country
  3. Action: Equip and mobilize our tradesmen and artisans to utilize the most basic technology available not only to access their services but to improve their services through training, videos and digital specifications at their fingertips as well as more accurate equipment that will increase their efficiency on basic tools like mobile phones. In the same way, the general public will be equipped with the tools to be able to measure and evaluate both the craftsmen and the services they provide.
  4. Accountability: This discipline focuses in on the fact that “unless we consistently hold each other accountable, the goal naturally disintegrates in the whirlwind”. We intend to hold the craftsmen and the general public responsible on these services in a way that is generally beneficial using various indices like ratings, certification, seal of approval and security checks
